Former state management pub which when built in 1853 served the thriving surrounding textile industry. Hand looms, spinning wheels, bobbins and shuttles from Linton Tweeds which would have been used in the nearby mills, along with archive photos of the industry are to be found throughout the pub. This is now the only remaining pub in the Denton Holme area. Cosy and friendly single room pub around a central bar. 12 minutes walk from Carlisle train station and on local bus routes. The pub has thriving darts, pool and football teams.
