The Ship Inn dates from the 18th century and is the birth place of Sir Thomas Bouch (1822); a great Victoian engineer. Situated on the edge of the green in a quiet village. A warm welcome is assured from staff and locals giving a friendly atmosphere to this pub. Up to three ever changing real ales are served; currently from the Heineken guest ales list. Camp site at Crofton. The village is served by fairly regular bus service.
